Congratulations to LMB member Scott Elliott for winning Adrian College’s inaugural Creativity Award, who proposed a campus bike share program! As a result of winning the award, up to $10,000 will be earmarked for the development and implementation of the program. Scott hopes to work with honors students in a course on alternative transportation called “The Non-Motorized Path to Virtue,” which he’ll be co-teaching this fall, to research and design the program. At present, his hope is to purchase the bicycles from a local bike shop, and to partner with the Re-Bicycle Lenawee co-op to maintain the fleet.
